About Elizabeth Newton

Elizabeth is a senior Human Resources professional with over 25 years of managerial and consulting experience. Since 1997, as founder and leader of Newton Whyatt Human Resources Consultancy, she has delivered HR consultancy and executive coaching to mainly financial services clients.

In this she has worked independently, worked with associates or worked in partnership with other consultancies, depending on the nature of the assignments. Elizabeth Newton has developed and maintained a record of achieving timely and complete delivery of varied projects.

Between 1987 and 1997 Elizabeth worked for UBS Limited, where she was Head of Compensation & Benefits, then Head of Training & Development, and then Executive Director, overseeing global performance management projects.

The initial part of Elizabeth’s career was spent with Boots plc and then with Prudential plc. Elizabeth has a degree in Business Administration & French, a master’s degree in Manpower Studies and a postgraduate diploma in Leadership Mentoring and Executive Coaching. She is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.

In her career, Elizabeth has always demonstrated strong technical HR skills with a commercial focus and the ability to think strategically while taking account of detail. These attributes, along with excellent interpersonal skills, have enabled her to operate at a senior level as a consultant, as a member of a management team and as an executive coach.

As well as drawing on her own expertise, Elizabeth works with a select number of associates whose experience is complementary to her own. Thus Elizabeth can put together a team with the right blend of skills and experience to complete particular client assignments.
